I am now rockin my new sleeve. I am 2 days post op and feeling good. The hardest thing has been chest pains from the gas. I am swallowing liquids fine. I have been doing some walking to help release the gas. I stopped the pain medicine. Obviously a little sore but not enough to take the pain medicine.
If this is the worst then it wasn't bad at all.
WOO HOO! Congrats on your new sleeve. The drill for now, walk, sip, rest, repeat. Glad the worst of it is over. I was off all pain meds by day 3 (the first two being surgery day and the day after when I was released from the hospital.) So your recovery is sounding a lot like mine, not too bad. Listen to your body, rest when you need to and keep drinking those liquids, your number one goal is to not get dehydrated!
ReplyDeleteCongrats, and welcome to the club!
ReplyDeleteI had pretty much no pain. Some discomfort, but after throwing up pain meds the night of my surgery, I didn't take them again. Best of luck to you!

ReplyDeleteI will say this post is really great and very informative even it is showing someone's great effort during gastric bypass surgery.
ReplyDeleteThis is the most useful application of gastric sleeve surgery at this time, because it appears to be faster and/or easier than other weight loss surgeries in these high-risk people.
